Google Chrome auto-updates every 1-2 months and some Cycle Web Steps may stop working when Cycle is using an old version of ChromeDriver.
To ensure that Cycle Web Steps continue to function properly, the newest version of ChromeDriver should be downloaded and selected within Cycle.
Step 1: Download the newest version of ChromeDriver
The newest ChromeDrivers can be found at the following link:
The Chrome Webdriver is typically named chromedriver.exe. The driver can be saved anywhere on your hard drive, as long as you know its location/filepath for step 2.
Step 2: Configure Cycle Settings to Use the New ChromeDriver
Once you have downloaded the newest version of ChromeDriver, you will need to update the driver location in Cycle Settings. You must know, or be able to locate the exact location of the new driver.
With a Cycle Project open, click the Project Settings button:
Then navigate to:
Project Settings > Execution Settings > Web Drivers & Browser
Once here, click the ChromeDriver box and navigate to your newly downloaded ChromeDriver and select it. Cycle will now use the updated version of ChromeDriver.
